Martha Curry- Principal
Mrs. Curry lives in the Man area and is married to Claude Curry, Jr. She has three children and one grandson. She loves to travel, garden, and to do crafts. She attended and graduated from Gilbert High School and Marshall University. She attends Becco United Baptist Church.
Mrs. Curry is a strong advocate of education. She believes that a good education is required to be successful in life. She will tell you that a good education can never be taken away from you. A good education will give you the foundation along with a strong work ethic to achieve your dreams.

My name is Allie Paxton! I am the Pre-K teacher for Omar Elementary! I have been teaching for four-plus years, and I enjoy my time teaching children! I love to read, create art, sing, dance, count numbers, and draw stories with them! We have an amazing adventure in Pre-K!

My name is Angela Adkins, I teach 1st grade at Omar Elementary. I graduated from Marshall University and have been teaching for 8 years. I enjoy teaching at Omar because we are all like family here.

Wendy Edwards- 2nd Grade
Mrs. Edwards grew up in West Virginia but moved to Florida in 1988 where she lived until 2015. She returned to West Virginia and has continued her teaching career here. This is her 26th year teaching. She loves teaching her students about Growth Mindset, having perseverance, and ways to stay healthy emotionally. Mrs. Edwards knows that building relationships with her students is one of the most important ways to provide a classroom culture that encourages autonomy, safety to ask questions and make mistakes, and uniqueness and diversity. Being a mother to Hannah and Derek is her most valued blessing. She feels that being their mother has helped her be a better teacher.

Ms. Starr graduated from Marshall University and has been teaching at Omar Elementary for 8 years. She loves whenever she sees her students engaged and their light bulbs come on.

My name is Serena Bradley, I teach 4th grade math at Omar Elementary. I graduated from Marshall University and have been teaching since 1995. I enjoy teaching here at Omar because the kids are great and the staff is like a family.

Mrs. Gore earned her degree in Physical Education and Health Education at Marshall University. Since she graduated from Marshall, she has worked in Logan County at Logan High School, Chapmanville Middle School, and now Omar Elementary. Mrs. Gore loves spending time with her family, going to church, and playing music.
